01. MOUNTING TREVE CONNECTOR ON THE STRINGER
Use a mallet to drive the step-stringer connecting parts into the stringers so that there is always one part with a slot pocket and one part with a circular pocket on the left and right. The parts must be aligned in parallel before being screwed in. Carefully screw in the flat-head Spax screws so that they don’t come out. Spax 5 x 40mm with stringer pieces 40mm and TreVe with joint; Spax 5 x 35mm with stringer thickness 40mm and TreVe without joint.
02. MOUNTING SLEEVES ON THE STEPS
The sleeves are driven into the drill holes on the bottom of the step with the sharp-edged side. The drill holes in the steps must be exactly 5ᅠmm deep, and in addition drilled or re-drilled with depth stop.
03. STAIRCASE INSTALLATION
The stringers are firstly erected and roughly aligned. When installing the steps, start at the top and work down. Initially bolt down three steps at various points of the staircase. The corresponding steps are laid on the TreVe bearing. When the connection is locked in place (possibly under stress), the stairs are screwed with 5 x 40mm lens head screws. The correct distances between the stringers are automatically adjusted. Use a cordless offset screwdriver with torque adjustment.
